Cassandra
Cassandra
was diagnosed with bone cancer. Although, she lost her arm to the disease,
she refused to allow it to take over her life. During this trying time,
it was important for her to have a natural looking head of hair to help
her maintain the self-esteem and confidence needed to mentally endure
the challenges she had to confront on a daily basis. Her family was extremely
grateful that someone cared enough about their daughter to sponsor her
hairpiece, which allowed her to start kindergarten.
Marrisa
Marrisa got cancer as she was going
into her freshman year of high school, a time and place where appearances
really count. Marrisa's hair replacement system was so natural that no
one ever noticed she'd lost her hair. Without the staring and teasing
that so many kids in Marrisa's situation must endure it made it all the
easier to get through an already tough year.

Rachel
Born with immune deficiency, Rachel
started losing clumps of hair when she was in the first grade. She would
tug at her hair to make it grow back, and the bows and barrettes she would
put in to disguise the loss would just slide out. After Jayne fitted her
with her new hair, we were walking back to the car when Rachel began twirling
around the driveway, stopped, hugged me and said, "Oh Mommy, I love my
shadow again!"

Staci
Staci was diagnosed with a brain tumor
at six years of age. She is now eleven and healthy but because of the
aggressive radiation treatment her hair hasn't grown back.. Jayne has
been such a blessing to us. She created this wonderful hairpiece that
lets Staci be as natural and as beautiful as ever. It has given Staci
back her self esteem and confidence.

Jessica
Jessica had a lot to handle in dealing
with her cancer, but her hair system allowed her to be just one of the
kids while she was at school. She was able to reclaim a part of her teenage
life when so much of it was being concerned with doctor's appointments,
tests and treatments. Her new hair gave her confidence and "breathing
space" in the midst of the utter turmoil surrounding her.
